This Mural Pale Fire - Holy Mountain was recently done in a private residence in the Silverlake are of Los Angeles, in a home office. The wall was 22 feet high, 20 feet wide. Here is an angled photo of me in front of the mural. It was very exciting to do! Love these types of projects.
Joe Mansfield at Engrave your Tech is just about to launch a new leather Moleskine cover color - BLACK !! It's a vegetable tanned leather like the original, and it engraves incredibly well - to get more news and your moleskins, check out their website!

HEAVY METAL WAVES
Solo show of Seattle-Based Artist Justine Ashbee
Opening Reception Friday, December 12th, 7-10pm
Show runs to January 25th, 2009
NoSpace Gallery is proud to present HEAVY METAL WAVES, new work by Seattle artist, Justine Ashbee. Please join us for the Opening Reception the evening of December 12th, 7-10pm
A collection of woven textile pieces referencing the fabric of wave space.
Ashbee’s interest in sound waves as a natural phenomenon underlying physical reality compels her to examine the structural aspects of woven curves and their imminent dissolution. Using metal, wire, monofilaments, and reflective materials she weaves forms referencing a trace of the invisible, things we feel and know, and yet cannot see.
The conceptual aspects of Ashbee’s work are invested deeply in ideas of consciousness and new theories in physics. Each investigation serves as a conjecture in need of a penetrating and curious examination.
